Citrus Five Senses Experience – Citrus Fantasia is a special exhibition celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Citrus Museum. It has been designed to re-examine citrus, a symbol of Jeju and an inseparable part of daily life, from a new perspective and to highlight its cultural and artistic value and significance.

This exhibition goes beyond consuming citrus simply as a “delicious fruit.” By engaging all five senses, it seeks to explore the essence and hidden charms of citrus, inviting visitors to focus solely on the fruit itself. Rather than viewing citrus as a singular entity, each of its elements is approached as an independent organism, allowing visitors to experience diverse moments of citrus through sight, sound, touch, smell, and taste.

Through these multi-sensory experiences, the exhibition extends into an artistic realm, positioning citrus as a medium that bridges Jeju’s nature and culture, and as a lasting symbol of Jeju’s cultural and artistic heritage. At the same time, it marks an important new beginning as the Citrus Museum looks ahead to its next 20 years.

시각 – 감귤, 눈에 담다.

만발한 감귤꽃, 곡선과 직선이 어우러진 가지와 잎사귀가 산들산들 춤을 춥니다.

그 안에서 흐르는 자연의 숨결과 생명의 아름다움을 눈에 담아 보세요.

청각 – 감귤, 소리로 듣다.

감귤과 계절, 사람 그리고 맛이 담긴 다양한 소리풍경이 귀에 스며듭니다.

감귤이 들려주는 다채로운 소리의 향연에 귀 기울여 보세요.

후각 – 감귤, 향기로 기억되다.

‘향기와 기억’을 주제로, 감귤꽃 향을 바탕으로 세 가지 향수를 조향하였습니다.

각각의 향기를 맡으며, 나만의 감귤박물관 기억을 만들어보세요.

촉각 – 감귤, 손으로 느끼다.

오돌토돌하거나 매끈한 감귤의 촉감은 도자의 태토나 매끄러운 유약의 질감과 유사합니다.

작품을 손끝으로 감상하면서, 감귤의 숨은 결과 질감을 느껴 보세요.

미각 – 감귤, 맛보다

감귤을 먹을 때 느껴지는 신맛, 단맛, 톡 쏘는 맛을 체험 공간에 담았습니다.

다양한 맛의 순간을 사진으로 기록하며, 감귤이 전하는 미각의 즐거움을 경험해 보세요.

Sight – Citrus, Captured by the Eyes

Blossoming citrus flowers, and branches and leaves where curves and lines intertwine, sway gracefully in the breeze.

Take in the breath of nature and the beauty of life flowing within them through your eyes.

Hearing – Citrus, Heard Through Sound

The soundscapes of citrus, seasons, people, and flavors—gently seep into your ears.

Listen closely to the vibrant symphony of sounds that citrus has to share.

Smell – Citrus, Remembered by Fragrance

With the theme of “Scent and Memory,” three perfumes were created based on the fragrance of citrus blossoms.

As you breathe them in, craft your own personal memory of the Citrus Museum.

Touch – Citrus, Felt by Hand

The bumpy or smooth textures of citrus resemble the rough clay body or the silky glaze of ceramics.

Appreciate the works with your fingertips and sense the hidden textures and essence of citrus.

Taste – Citrus, Savored

Experience the sourness, sweetness, and tingling zest of citrus in this taste-themed space.
